Tomoo Hosono Polarized kaleidoscope "DK#068" - turning end -

The polarized kaleidoscope, which Hosono has been developing, has become increasingly rich and nuanced in its colors. In this work, a square image unfolds with reflected patterns repeating.  You can enjoy the subtle changes in color depending on the direction of the light coming in, and also the dramatic changes by rotating the end. There is the "pleasure of a kaleidoscope" that allows you to encounter new color and patterns every time you look into it.
He tries to create an original  expression with the polarized material, resulting  different image designs.   The design of the simple stainless steel tube remains the same, but the mysterious and attractive color patterns that unfold inside it are fascinating.
