Fumie Ino's lacquered kaleidoscopes are modern ones that incorporate traditional Japanese culture.   This depicts a famous motif of water irises and branching bridges appeared in the old story.  The rotating object cell and the peephole are made of wood, giving the piece a calm appearance.
Enjoy the changes in the images as you rotate the object cell at the tip. Since the object cell is a dry type, the light sound of the glass moving as it rotates is pleasant. The coloring produced by the overlapping glass pieces also shows the originality of  her work.
