Sumiko AKATSU ”Hanachirusato”　-orange- 2mirror 　 　-glass kaleidoscope-

Sumiko Akatsu is an artist who creates kaleidoscopes with delicate visual design. She takes her time to create each piece individually, and the selected objects for the images with a sense of transparency and fragility.
This is her latest design.  The title "Hanachirusato" is taken from the famous novel  "The Tale of Genji" of the 11th century.  She tries to express elegant flowers through the mirror system.
The glass body is a cylinder made of nine pieces of beautiful orange glass connected with a stained glass technique. Dry cell is encased in the transparent glass part and can be turned by a rotator at the tip. The object glass is individually polished and frosted to create soft colors that match the body color.  You will see the symmetry created with the gentle hues of the glass objects.

The mirror system is 2 mirror 7 point.  Dry cell. 
Rotate the tip to enjoy the changing images.
