Chitoshi Takabayashi "On the Earth -mini -"

Chitoshi Takabayashi is a wood kaleidoscope artist. He trained with  Randy and Shelley Knapp and draws on their experience to create his own unique pieces.

This miniature parlor-shaped kaleidoscope is only 17 cm tall, but its body of ebony and quince is exquisitely designed. The object cell is a collaboration with Tomoo Hosono, and is a combination of polarized materials and glass objects.
This work is fun to look at because of the wide range of color variations, such as aurora-like or rainbow-colored, depending on the light.  It comes with a small light stand.
2mirror 7point.  Oil cell.  With smoothly turning end.
